Let’s kind of find a perspective here before I go too much further with this website. This is needed because I’m a wacky sort. Not because I am off my proverbial rocker, depending on who you ask, but because I am still getting over a war I was involved intimately in decades ago. I came out of it relatively unscathed but even we who didn’t get maimed or killed came home to a society that derided each of us as, “baby killers.” You could say the same about drunk drivers so let’s not make to fine a point on name calling. Anyway, it messed, greatly, with all our minds when we came back but I refused to let it change me, as the war already had.
I was nineteen when I enlisted to go to war. I would do it again were I still young and I don’t say this lightly but now it would depend on which party was in power. The party in power then were the Democrats and they had no intention of winning that war. That was what set some of my screws loose in the end and after so many deaths of those I graduated high school with.
Today, as you can see, I am a quite serious person but with a sense of ironic humor. Humor is what saw me through but mine is rather a stretched sense of humor or, as some would call it, a “morgue” sense of humor. I won’t do much of that here as it could easily be misconstrued as insanity. Close, yes, accurate not really as I had to raise three children and no child needs a warped sense of humor learned from their father, right?
I’ve somehow remained married to the same wonderful woman for almost fifty years. This will tell you how drastically I took making amends for the nonsense I put my family through. I am serious about life and serious about death but death, and the scenery of death, bothers me quite little. It is what it is and you’ll see me write that little phrase quite often here. Still, I haven’t seen it all, not yet.
I wish you each the best that you can derive from life. I hold no enmity toward those who are trying to make life work but are making mistakes along the way. Fools are the bane of mankind and too many fools are in government. I am a fan of our president for reasons that don’t fit what many think of him. I suppose you could call it, truth is easy to see when one has ducked many times to save his life. So has our president. He took the job anyway so he has that going for him and many are they who will figure it out after he’s gone from office. Which will be too soon for my comfort or for the safety and well being of America. No Dems is how I consider the safety of America. At least, not until they grow up and stop acting like spoiled brats. Ya just never know though, do ya?
