History! No, not ancient history. History is the result of what? Time? Nah. History is the result of human nature. Human nature is grossly subject to repetition and repetition is due to human nature. The same mistakes again and again. Different times? Sure. Different results? Nah.
I give you war, unrest, politics, murder, docility, ludicrous behavior. It never changes but when written down it seems ancient only pertaining to time but, not differences. Weapons change but killing does not. Reasons don’t change. It is always the same reasons.
Where are we today with all this history now in the books? Same place we always were. We haven’t moved so much as one half inch from where we were in 2000 B.C. Screw technology! We are the same bumbling group as we were when everyone wore Togas.
Is it time to learn from our mistakes? Nah. That is an impossibility. This nonsense has a common name: imperfection. Perfect is a word often uttered but its definition escapes as we are naught but imperfect. You, me, them, they, she, it. Welcome to reality, for what it’s worth.
